AQUEOUS SUBCUTANEOUS
SPECIFIC IMMUNOTHERAPY (SCIT)
FOR HYMENOPTERA VENOM
The aqueous subcutaneous immunotherapy for hymenoptera venom consists of a 5.5 ml vial of aqueous extract of 100mcg/ml purified hymenoptera venom and three 4.5 ml vials of preserved saline solution.
The product is administered subcutaneously in the upper arm. Treatment should only be performed under direct medical supervision. The patient must remain under medical observation for at least 30 minutes after administration of the vaccine.
STARTING TREATMENT PLAN
• N. 1 - 5.5 ml red label vial containing 100 mcg / ml of hymenoptera venom.
• No. 3 - 4.5 ml white label vials containing preserved saline solution.
Injections administered during the same day should be spaced apart every 30 minutes.
MAINTENANCE THERAPY
Once the maintenance dose is reached, the interval between injections gradually increases up to 4 weeks.
Vials are packed in a protective rigid plastic container.
